– Investment Services – Century City nn nn Responsible for leading the Investment Practice for the region.
nn nn Key Responsibilities nn Manages the Investment Practice.
Participates in performance management process, identifies training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the Practice.
Participates in developing the Practice strategic plan and sets priorities based on the direction set for the unit.
Follows through to ensure objectives are met.
Manages investment activities for a full book of business.
Leads risk management for the Investment Practice.
Maintains extensive contact across practices to ensure communication and accomplishment of client requirements and coordinate portfolio activity.
Maintains a current awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular contact with other industry professionals, as well as research.
Leads the development of new investment business.
Ensures the completion of processing needs relative to the administration of assigned accounts.
Lead local investment research capability.
Serves on standing investment services committees and on ad hoc unit committees as appropriate.
nn Qualifications nn 8 plus years of private wealth portfolio management and broader investment experience.
Graduate degree and / or industry qualifications preferred.
Knowledge of investment and portfolio management theory, accounting, and financial principles, and investment strategies and instruments, acquired through formal education and work experience, is required to manage portfolios or conduct research activities.
Knowledge of investment terminology, characteristics of the various marketplaces, the laws and regulations governing trust investments and taxation, the bank’s investment policies, procedures, and strategies, acquired through work experience and formal education, is required to manage portfolios or investment research activities.
Sales, interpersonal and persuasive skills required to guide sensitive or difficult situations.
Leadership and organizational skills required to determine the unit goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of partners.
