Job Description
Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a large financial institution looking for a strong VP of Corporate Accounting.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of Big 4 experience and private corporate accounting experience at a financial firm.
We are looking for an A-player here who meets all the requirements and wants to grow with this business, which is growing very fast!
Responsibilities:
Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers for private investment funds.
Prepare and review limited partner and general partner allocations.
Manage accounting and cash/real estate/investment reconciliations.
Maintain and prepare financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
Analyze drawdowns and distributions.
Calculation for expense allocations, distribution waterfall and other income.
Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables Implementation of fund structures on accounting system Work with funds, auditors, custodians, fund administrators and prime brokers.
Ad hoc reporting Coordinate with operations, finance, tax, and investor relation groups.
Qualifications:
10+ years of private equity, real estate, corporate accounting and public accounting experience.
Excellent reconciliations experience and knowledge of complex accounts Strong track record within the private equity, hedge funds, and fund-of-funds businesses Knowledge of US GAAP Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel) Bachelor’ s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics CPA designation a plus
