Position: Field Maintenance Engineer Pay: $29
– $33 per hour As a onboarding Field Maintenance Engineer, you will take part in a formal training program to learn how to perform various equipment service processes and procedures focused on completing preventative maintenance activities to drive customer satisfaction and ensure proper functionality of company equipment.

This program is designed to develop and grow technicians with baseline electrical knowledge that are new to the industry.

New hires into this role will get a blend of in-house training and hands-on experience to help you get a jumpstart in the healthcare industry in the role as a Field Maintenance Engineer (FME).

Formal training will take place in Bedford, MA.

During the training period, candidates should expect to travel to Bedford 4-5 times for as many as two weeks to undergo intensive in-house training with their peers.

After six months, and having met the requirements of the program, you will be ready to work fully independently with your field teams in the position of Field Maintenance Engineer.

You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance activities on specific mammography equipment while continuing to gain knowledge and experience servicing other company mammography products.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the installation and service of company products (mammography, digital mammography, bone densitometry, and mini c-arms) which include electrical, mechanical and software components.

• Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with the company’s products, support and service.

• Complete all remedial service actions, standard system checks, and required hardware and software upgrades in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

• Maintain a good customer service reputation by complying with all regulatory requirements and all aspects of DQSM.

• Complete and submit all required paperwork on time and accurately.

• Train customers on the basic operation and use of company products.

• Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly.

• Promote service contract offerings and assist the local Service Sales Specialist in selling service agreements.

• Perform PM’s on time, provide expeditious on-site response and minimize equipment downtime.

• Respond to customer inquiries in written form (with managerial approval), in person, or via telephone as needed.

• Escalate customer issues and unresolved product problems to service management in a comprehensive and timely manner.

Qualifications
• High degree of electrical and mechanical aptitude.

• Must be a self-starter, able to travel and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and scheduling work activities.

• Resolve problems, think analytically and communicate professionally in high pressure, time sensitive environments.

• Must have reliable transportation, possess a valid driver’s license, and carry adequate auto insurance.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
