VALUATION SERVICES MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY: Within Forensic and Valuation Services (FVS), the Valuation Services practice (VS) provides financial advisory services to privately held and publicly-traded companies.

Core service offerings include business, equity, and intangible asset valuations for a variety of purposes such as financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions in domestic and cross border transactions.

Seeking a Manager to join its San Francisco or Los Angeles VS practice and take an active role in valuation engagement execution and support key new business development efforts.

Professional staff applies traditional and cutting edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of corporate finance analyses.

As part of our team, the Manager will utilize discounted cash flow models, trading and acquisition multiples, and derivative, binomial, and Monte Carlo simulation models to value tangible and intangible assets in purchase price allocations and equity and debt securities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plan, organize, conduct, manage, and oversee projects and services in business valuation analysis, industry research, and related investigative services.

* Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on business valuation and related services and assess performance of staff for engagement and year-end reviews.

* Perform professional business and asset valuations for tangible and intangible assists, including equity valuations, option analyses, and purchase price allocations.

* Work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development processes.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

* 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or consulting with experience in business valuation.

* Certification/license such as CPA or CFA, and valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, AVA or ASA preferred.

* Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP preferred.

* Experience in broad-based business and financial valuations and multi-discipline appraisals, including those of closely-held companies.

* Strong knowledge of ASC 350/805, ASC 718, and ASC 820.

* Knowledge of ASC 718 a plus.

* Matlab experience a plus.

* Ability to supervise staff and lead projects.Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

* Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

* Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written (including technical writing), and presentation skills.

* Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills.

* Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
