SVP Finance

Company is producing feature films, television shows as well as unscripted series, audio storytelling and social series under the Company brand. It is also the home for Reese ‘s Book Club, a fast-growing social book club in reach and influence. All of Company ‘s efforts are anchored by a singular mission: to change the narrative for women.

Company is seeking an Senior Vice President, Finance to provide financial leadership and oversee the Finance, Accounting, Production Finance and Facilities functions of the organization As SVP Finance, you must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from accounting to financial reporting and treasury operations. We are seeking a self-starter who has worked at a large media or entertainment brand. The SVP, Finance will report to Company ‘s COO and work closely with the CEO, each of our business leads, the Board of Directors, and our investors.

What You Will Do

  • Advise the company of the financial implications and risks related to underlying business and important strategic decisions and communicate in real time the ongoing financial condition of the business
  • Work closely with other senior executives to understand key business drivers and formulate financial objectives, both short and long-term; establish clear KPIs and monitor ongoing performance against these objectives
  • Develop, mentor and retain a highly capable team of skilled financial professionals, and be responsible for the overall direction and operations this team

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Drive the Company ‘s financial planning process including forecasting, budgeting, reporting and project analysis.
  • Oversee development and ensure accuracy of supporting models working in close collaboration with business partners around development of assumptions and ongoing tracking
  • Lead the timely preparation of the Company ‘s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure the integrity of the G/L systems, recommending and implementing upgrades as necessary
  • Oversee creation of financial dashboards to provide stakeholders with visibility and information to support achievement of target financial and other metrics
  • Maintain and improve the systems and processes necessary for reporting upon key business metrics and ad hoc analysis in a scalable and efficient manner
  • Partner with external tax advisors to ensure tax filings are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

Operations

  • Lead the facilities and IT function at Company overseeing the Sr. Director, Operations as we continue to scale rapidly
  • Support the financial planning and management aspects of Human Resources such as Payroll, Benefits Administration and 401K in partnership with the VP, HR
  • Work closely with Business Affairs on Insurance and associated risk management efforts
  • Oversee system improvements and process workflows to streamline inefficiencies

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership roles across several financial management functions including, FP&A and Accounting within a media or entertainment organization.
  • Data driven and analytical, with experience synthesizing data to be quickly understood and to inform decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, execute and integrate the financial elements of M&A transactions
  • Inspirational leader that drives results in line with Company ‘s mission and values
  • A solution-oriented mindset, addressing challenges directly
  • Strong organizational leadership, ability to stay agile as we continue to scale rapidly
  • CPA and Big 4 experience is preferred
