The SVP, Digital Banking Technology and Application Architecture will lead the technology supporting Company’s digital solutions, 3rd Party API integration, internally deployed APIs, and other solutions supporting the digital banking vision. In addition, the lead will oversee the overall technology architecture.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in support of digital solutions.
- Lead the delivery activities (analysis, design, development and testing) required to meet the digital banking strategies for the organization.
- Prioritize and organize the required activities to deliver upon the needs of the organization.
- Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of on premise and cloud web applications.
- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and best practices to the solution design process and to other team members.
- Focus on scalability, maintainability, testability, security, and performance.
- Drive strategies, API integration prioritization (including in-housing mission critical, high “Intellectual Property” APIs), technical roadmaps and implementation of digital bank portfolio in close collaboration with the Digital Banking “product” team.
- Build up the right capabilities and people, equip them with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver technical excellence, and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunities.
- Manage internal resources and external (vendors); must evaluate, promote, coach, and develop his or her people.
- Define, architect, and implement a target-state API toolset that will significantly enhance developer experience across the API lifecycle.
- Minimize API and Micro service duplication/overlap, through the use of tools, process, scorecards, and maintain a robust target state for overall API and micro service landscape.
- Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem solving solutions.
- Maintains continuous awareness of business, technical and infrastructure issues.
- Has in depth knowledge of how technology integrates within the organization and of direct competitors products and services.
- Impacts the overall technology function through responsibility for planning, finances/budget, end results, setting policies and contribution to strategic decisions.
- Partners with business counterparts in Digital Banking, Global Treasury Management, HOA, Banking Operations, etc.
- Reports directly to PACW’s Chief Innovation Officer
- Involved with interviewing and hiring decisions
- Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling
- Manage, support, coach and train staff
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience within a financial institution
- Full stack, customer-facing website delivery experience
- API orchestration and development experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Integration of fintech solution providers
- Ability to manage a team of resources across multiple locations
- Creative and strategic thinker with excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a team environment
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, projects and relationships simultaneously
- Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and objectives in rapidly changing environment
- Must possess high degree of professionalism in working with others
- Review and be knowledgeable of departmental and human resource’s policies & procedures
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field
