The Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association(LACERA) administers and manages the $75 billionretirement fund for the County of Los Angeles. ABOUT THE POSITION:
LACERA is now accepting applications for the positionof Staff Counsel (Investments). Thecurrent vacancies are in the Investments Section and are importantpositions of responsibility in support of LACERA’s dynamic andwell-regarded investment program.
The position is responsible for providing legal advice andrepresentation to LACERA and its Board of Investments, as well asproviding investment professionals with legal advice; supervisingoutside counsel in investment transactions; and reviewing,drafting, and negotiating documentation for investment transactionsincluding private equity, hedge funds, co-investments, real estate,and public markets.
Well-qualified candidates will have four years of experience inthe practice of investment law and familiarity with laws governinginvestment transactions, California public records and open meetinglaws, and placement agent and lobbying restrictions.
Admission to practice law in all courts of California isrequired.
