Compensation: $23.75 to $27.50 hourly
Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for you to check out at an organization in the Non-Profit industry. The responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. When it’s time for the monthly close, you’ll be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. Additionally, you’ll be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Key responsibilities:
– Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
– Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
– Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
– Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision
– Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reportings
– Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
– Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
– Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
– Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
– Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
Job Requirements:
– Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
– 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
– Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel
– Microsoft Office Suites experience desired
