Accountant Acting as liaison between junior accountants and accounting manager and directors, serving to enforce and monitor compliance with company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities Month-end close activities in fast paced environment with a 5-day close process Monitor activity and provide support to transactional teams as needed Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy Review AP invoice and payment batches to ensure proper and timely postings Oversee the process of calculating and paying commission and royalties on a monthly and quarterly basis Monthly balance sheet review including high level roll forward schedules for specific accounts Work closely with international accounting teams to record and reconcile intercompany transactions Collaborate with business system team to improve process and leverage the system where possible (e.g.
fixed asset module, bank reconciliation automation, etc.) Manage the weekly processing of expense reports and maintain the workflow within the cloud-based expense report tool Assist with integrating acquired companies into accounting processes and procedures Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments Documenting and monitoring internal controls, in addition to assisting with quarterly internal audit procedures Participate in preparing schedules and supporting documents during various types of audits and examinations (financial statement, 401k, insurance, tax and other related compliance) Ad hoc and special projects as assigned Job Requirements BS degree in Accounting or Finance 4years of relevant experience Advanced Excel 501052
