VaynerMedia is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join the internal finance team within the agency.

You will assist in the day-to-day functions, as well as overall needs, as it relates to all things financial-related in the workings of a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly growing digital shop.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining P&L and Balance Sheet for VaynerX subsidiary (VaynerMedia Los Angeles, VaynerCommerce)
Provide financial reporting support to Vayner Finance Director
Manage entry of Accounts Payable (A/P vendor bills, A/P aging review, and payment processing via check, wire or credit card) for specific legal entities
Review media platforms expense reconciliations
Propose and review fix assets additions and depreciation
Support month-end and year-end close process which includes the posting of closing journal entries
Assist in the preparation of closing package for VaynerX subsidiary (VaynerMedia)
Responsible for the final approval of employee reimbursable and corporate card expenses
Data entry and customized report creation using Netsuite
Analyze financial data to ensure GL posting align with forecasted groupings
Provide data inputs/assumptions to Finance Director and FP&A for certain VM non-billable cost budgets and re-forecasts
Provide data inputs/assumptions to Treasury Manager for certain payment/receivable obligations
Ad hoc reporting/analysis requests from Treasury, FP&A, Controller’s Group or Leadership
Participate in ongoing meetings with VaynerX Senior Accountants and Finance Manager
Requirements:
2-4 year of post-college experience within an accounting role
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Advanced MS Excel skills
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Desired Skills:
Proficient corporate accounting knowledge and exposure to corporate closing cycle/process
Prior Netsuite experience is a plus
Accounting Supervisor (managing/coaching) skills
CPA is a plus
