Senior Staff Accountant

The Bel-Air Bay Club is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Staff Accountant preferably with experience in the hospitality industry.

We are actively seeking an energetic and sharp individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities/duties include:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and ongoing variance reporting.
Account analysis and reconciliation
Inventory Accounting
Provide backup support for Payroll, A/P and A/R as needed
General administrative duties
The successful candidate will possess superior attention to detail, excellent Excel spreadsheet skills, 10-key by touch, a solid understanding of accounting theory, the ability to work autonomously, excellent communication skills, with a minimum of 5 years general ledger accounting experience and a college degree.

Experience in hospitality a plus.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.

This is a Full-Time non-exempt, hourly position and reports to the Controller.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience handling Accounts Payable and General ledger work.
Requires excellent computer skills
Requires excellent excel skills
Requires a high level of organizational skills
Hospitality experience a plus

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field

Strong communication, listening and assessment skills

High degree of emotional intelligence
