ROLE DESCRIPTION: As Senior Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role at Concord Construction.
You will be responsible for performing financial and administrative duties to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial reporting.

Accounting Operations: Project Accounting
Prepare Construction/Development Project Cost Control & Reporting Package.
Review monthly construction pay applications (702/703) and supporting documents.
Prepare and maintain construction loan draws.
Reconcile job costs report to CIP GL accounts.
Monitor percentage of completion, contingency, and retention.
Track preliminary notices and conditional waivers.
Ensure contractor insurance is in compliance.
Record project invoices by job, cost category, and draw number.
Participate in meetings with architects, general contractors, and lenders as needed
Close out completed projects.
Contract Administration.
Property Management Accounting
Assist Property Manager with maintenance of Rent Café in support of various leasing activities.
Assist Property Manager with processing accounts payable.
Review and maintain tenant records.
Prepare weekly and monthly delinquency and leasing reports.
Corporate Accounting
Assist in managing the timeliness of Financial Statements, Bank Reconciliations, and all other monthly reporting/closing procedures.
Prepare and analyze the financial statements, general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and budgets.
Reviews and reconciles accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintain a schedule of all balance sheet accounts.
Reconcile, verify and validate all entries and postings to balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Perform daily activities such as receive checks, post receipts, prepare deposits and bank reconciliations.
Assist in managing working capital, including weekly cash report updates, and initiating and recording transfers/wires.
Contributes to the development of accounting procedures and strategies to improve efforts, record keeping and account management including exploring new tools and software.
Reviews budget comparison for accuracy and performs re-class and accruals as needed.
Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations for assigned portfolio.
Reconcile vendor accounts and ensure payments are up to date.
Prepare analysis of accounts, such as expense distribution, AP aging, check register and other required reports during month end.
Assists with monthly actual to budget variance analysis.
Assists with internal and external audits.
Assists with annual budget preparations.
Adheres to daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deadline requirements.
Manage 1099 and unclaimed property process.
Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9 compliance.
Perform other duties outside the scope of the job description and as required by the VP, Controller.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance and at least 5 years of experience within an accounting environment.
4-10 years’ experience working in accounting department preparing financials.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in Yardi Voyager a plus and/or other Major ERP.
Ability to process complex tasks with minimal instructions.
Ability to multi-task and have good organizational skills.
Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, property employees and the Executive team.
