Brands is looking for an experienced Senior Manager who is excited about driving and effectively scaling a.k.a.

Brands to the next level.

You will work closely with the Finance & Accounting teams to ensure the integrity of world-wide accounting operations.This position requires someone with experience leading a team through the financial close, impeccable attention to detail, a financial and analytical mindset, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls.Essential Functions:Responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of MNML, which is a wholly-owned e-commerce brand in the a.k.a.

portfolio.

a.k.a.

recently acquired MNML in October 2021.

MNML is a high-growth, Direct-to-consumer (DTC) men’s fashion brand based In the U.S.Own the monthly close and preparation of month-end reporting packages for MNML.Drive accounting operational transformation across MNML’s processes to bring into standard with aka’s other portfolio companies.

Partner with other a.k.a.

brand portfolio companies to establish best practices.Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring that general ledger and intercompany accounts are reconciled with documented resolution to reconciling items.Evaluate accounting estimates monthly for adequacy and accuracy.Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures & lead the team in implementing internal control procedures (SOX) in areas of responsibility.Assess current practices and procedures and assist with implementing scalable accounting processes to continue timely and accurate financial reporting.Other ad hoc financial analysis as requested by the Global CFO and brand leadership.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or relevant field.9 years of progressive Public Accounting and/or Industry experience, or broad based accounting experience in a hyper-growth environment.

Retail Industry experience is a plusExperience working with a variety of members including internal staff members, senior leadership professionals, external partners, directors, and tax and legal advisors.Solid comprehension of financial reporting and accounting systems is required.Knowledge & Skills:Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and ShopifyAbility to problem solve and work independently, handling and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive projects with a firm commitment to meeting deadlines.Takes initiative actively engaging with all levels of staff and across all programs/departments.Demonstrated success experience in non-US, global culture(s) for work/life.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
