To learn more, check us out at www.activisionblizzard.com or on Twitter at @ATVI_AB.Your MissionThe Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for the general accounting of the development studios for both Activision Publishing and Blizzard Entertainment business units. This high visibility position has oversight responsibility for all aspects of accounting for studio product development cost, including capitalization and amortization of cost. The ideal candidate will develop, document and enforce proper accounting methods, procedures, and policies. In addition, the ideal candidate will carry out consistent and efficient month-end and quarter-end close processes and reporting that ensures the timely processing of accurate results and present such results to senior management in a regular and concise manner.The ideal candidate will be helping with various projects and task and must have the competence to work cross-functionally with other areas of the business to coordinate and manage the timely completion of the assigned project-related tasks. It also requires being able to identify and resolve accounting issues and process inefficiencies. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:Responsible for all aspects of studio accountingParticipate in our global month-end close and consolidation process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations and preparation and/or review of internal and external financial reporting deliverables.Ensure execution of appropriate accounting treatment on complex accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP.Understand business activities and objectives and make recommendations and changes to improve and support scalability in the team organization, business systems and processes.Able to navigate through complex process involving numerous stakeholders and time sensitive deadlinesWork effectively in a high growth environment – comfortable in both individual contributor roles and cross-functional team management roles, depending on what is required by the business at the time.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational innovation and regularly interact with business owners and senior level management on accounting matters.Develop and mentor accounting team to build their professional career and maximize potentialPartner with internal and external auditors to maintain a strong internal control environment and regularly monitor and assess risks associated with our current and new processes.Participate in ad hoc projects and initiativesOther duties may be assignedPlayer ProfileQualifications:B.A./B.S. in AccountingMinimum of 10 years experience in professional accountingMinimum of 5 years experience at a managerial levelExperience with ASC 985 and ASC 350-40 for software development costExperience with managing complex process and calculationsProven experience in optimizing accounting processesMust possess strong analytical skills with ability to problem solve.Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both accounting and non-accounting partnersAbility to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling daily responsibilities, projects and deliverablesMust possess strong work ethic and willing to work extra hours and weekends during quarter-end and year-end closes in order to meet deadlinesExtensive knowledge and use of Microsoft ExcelExperience with Oracle eBusiness Suite, OBIEE Answers and/or Hyperion Essbase is a plusOur World Activision Blizzard, Inc.
