Description :
Responsible for smooth running of cost accounting transactional processing and monthly reporting (supporting both local management, statutory and group reporting requirements), with the view to ensuring timely and accurate processing and reporting.
The position leads a small team and is responsible for managing manufacturing financial performance reporting and underlying costing systems.
Provide leadership and direction for the Supply Operations Finance accounting function. Lead and develop local finance team members.
Maintain, develop costing systems, and ensure compliance with inventory control systems. This covers areas of (but not limited to) work order control and closure, consumption variances, cycle counting and control oversight.
Ensure full compliance with Corporate Governance and SOX requirements and ensure areas for development are enhanced. Ensure maintenance of standard costing system, including material costs, outside processing, labor, and overhead rates.
Ensure all journals including month-end accruals and close processes are completed. General Ledger balances are reconciled and confirmed in conjunction with the Operations Finance and Group Finance teams.
Prepare balance sheet reporting packs in line with Group Finance requirements and ensure all the adjustment journals are processed before the period closure.
Ensure the timely completion of the Operations month end financial close process. Prepare and ensuring accurate, complete, and timely outputs for Reporting requirements.
Prepare Departmental expense reports and assist Managers in cost control as required. Assist with collation of data and provision of analysis as and when required for decision support requirements. Assist in preparing Operations Budgets and forecasts as required.
Ensure implementation of management systems within their area of responsibility (including health & safety, quality & environmental). And monitor the performance of direct reports against the management system requirements.
Qualifications :
Must Have Leadership experience with high degree of Internal and External communication skills.
Strong verbal and written skills required (English).
Relevant bachelors degree plus financial experience with at least 5 years commercial involvement or more extensive experience without degree demonstrating competence with concepts of internal control and application in a commercial manufacturing environment.
Strong cost accounting background/CPA/CA Qualified.
Manufacturing industry background/inventory costing.
Solid understanding of SOX controls and audit Preferred.
Oracle ERP experience and EPICOR.
Exposure to Supply Chain Operations.
Experience in leading a team.
