Also included in FOX Sports’ portfolio are FOX’s interests in joint-venture business Big Ten Network as well as a licensing agreement that established the FOX Sports Radio Network.JOB DESCRIPTIONFox Sports Media Group (FSMG) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to work in the general accounting group. You will responsible for network closing/accounting, financial consolidation and reporting, general ledger maintenance, fixed assets accounting process, bank reconciliations and audits. You will assist in projects such as policies and procedures documentation and ad-hoc reporting and have the opportunity to collaborate with finance team members across various businesses in the company. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare monthly journal entries related to network activities, including revenue, accruals, sports rights & productionInteract directly with the Finance group to obtain proposed journal entries, resolve unusual items or discrepancies/reclassifications and ensure all accounting schedules are up to datePrepare monthly variance analysis, cash flows and account reconciliations in a timely mannerUnderstand, review and summarize key business drivers impacting operating performance through the course of financial closes and planning cycles for financial reporting purposesMaintain fixed asset module to record additions, disposals and depreciationPrepare and publish Capital Status Report on a monthly basisReconcile the fixed asset module to the general ledger on a monthly basisWork with the Commitment Authorization System (CAS) to ensure accurate and timely approval of capital projects and expense authorizationsPrepare monthly bank reconciliationsWork with various groups (accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance and payroll) to clear bank reconciliation items in a timely mannerPerform various SOX proceduresAssist with internal/external audit requestsMaintain & enhance standardized accounting policies and proceduresAd-hoc financial analysis and projects as required WHAT YOU WILL NEED BA or BS in Accounting; CPA preferredMinimum three years of experience in accounting or reportingStrong knowledge of SOX 404 documentationStrong GAAP knowledgeProficient with Excel and PowerPointAbility to work well under time constraints and work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to interact with various levels of managementAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentNICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER Sports/Entertainment industry experienceKnowledge of Workday ERP systemWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
