**Position Summary:**The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Division FP&A team.
The position will be based remotely in North America and will report directly to FP&A Manager Clinical Diagnostics Division.
The Clinical Diagnostics Divisions is made up of 5 Business Units with 4 major sites across North America and Europe with annual revenue over $1 billion.Location: Remote (candidates must reside on the West Coast, preferably Southern California)**Scope of Responsibilities**+ Monitor the business KPIs and drivers for our business and understand, highlight, and investigate any causes of variance+ Support the actual, forecast and budgeting process+ Consolidate and analyze financial data such as budgets and income statement forecasts to evaluate and execute against CDD Division’s goals+ Build and automate dashboards to provide financial visibility to business partners+ Maintain and improve the tools and systems for our financial and accounting reporting, and provide recommendations to automate the monthly reporting packages where possible+ Prepare monthly reports outlining department expenses, headcount analysis and communicate to department heads+ Interact with management teams and advisors on ad hoc requests and projects+ Prepare monthly and quarterly results presentations for the executive team+ Drive Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and policy development**Preferred characteristics:**+ The successful candidate is personable, highly ethical and thrives in a collaborative environment+ Excellent proactive communication capabilities, identifying and addressing issues via candid dialogue+ Track record of developing high levels of credibility and forging solid and positive professional relationships with peers and upper management and can operate effectively in a matrix reporting structure+ Exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills including demonstrated utilization of BI tools to measure KPI’s and drive forward looking analytics+ Self-motivated with high bias for action and accountability+ High level of energy; can bring a passion to excel.+ Ability to balance priorities and thrive in a complex global business environment+ Ability to drive culture of accountability**Job Requirements:**+ An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required; an MBA or CPA is strongly desired+ An ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials and a strong aptitude in financial analysis+ Experience in the Diagnostics and Medical Devices industry is desired+ Minimum of 3+ years of progressively responsible business experience+ Experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance+ Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis), Cognos reporting tool (or equivalent), Power BI, PowerPoint, and Hyperion is preferredThermo Fisher Scientific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
