Job Description

Our Luxembourg office is seeking a Senior Finance Associate in Investor Accounting.

The responsibilities of a Senior Finance Associate include, but are not limited to:

Develop leadership skills by demonstrating a willingness to lead projects and offer input

Prepare and review quarterly property and debt valuations

Respond to auditor queries

Communicate and interact with Asset Manager(s), Property Manager(s) and JV Partner(s)

Manage and oversee external accounting service providers, and ensure timelines and quality of deliverables

Prepare/review monthly, quarterly and annual reports for investors, consultants and other stakeholders including financial information, performance returns, property operations and variance analysis

Calculate and review various performance returns and provide comparisons to benchmarks

Review and analyze property budgets and help prepare the fund/account’s annual budget and strategic plan

Determine appropriate cash distributions considering property objectives and fund/account strategic plans

Projects include due diligence review, leasehold analysis, and consultant/client questionnaires or other projects to assist Portfolio Management in maximizing investor value and best-in-class client service

Prepare, review, analyze and interpret accounting records, financial statements, footnotes or other financial report to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards for audit reports

Review documents to ensure compliance with IM agreement(s), JV agreement(s), and PM
checklist(s)

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:
Fluent in English and German (required) Minimum of 5 years of experience
2 years of real estate accounting and analysis experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Experience in Yardi software is a plus
Understanding of Luxembourg investment fund industry is a plus
