SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANTOur client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for their team.

Responsibilities:
Review bill of materials and routings for completeness and usability within in JD Edwards Review ‘last in’ raw material and packaging receipts and update actual costs Review manufacturing G/L accounts each month and prepare variance summaries Review excess and obsolete inventory and calculate reserve adjustments Review work orders for accuracy and explain variances Compile work order data and create labor and overhead performance reports Assist in year-end standard cost update Assist and coordinate the annual multi-site physical inventory count Reconcile perpetual to G/L Inventory balances on a monthly basis Prepare month end close journal entries Prepare COGS detail summary report for month end Prepare purchase price variance reports Lead projects with the Operations group to improve processes and reporting Review month end cycle count reports and monitor transactions with large quantities and errors Respond to ‘Cost Accounting Help Desk’ tickets on a regular basis
