Senior Associate, Wealth Strategist – Sales & Marketing

Assist Wealth Strategists in the Foundation & Institutional Advisors group with all aspects of the sales process relating to identification of potential prospects and generating new investment business with nonprofits and institutions. 

Primary duties will include assisting Wealth Strategists with seeking prospects combined with active calling efforts; researching and uncovering potential prospects; preparing materials for client meetings and new business presentations; coordination of sales activities around seminars, COI cultivation, community and bank sponsored events; responsible for reviewing new business documentation prepared by sales associates; work the will bank to generate current fee opportunities; and ensures that the sales process is proactive and timely. Obtain strong understanding and knowledge on investment management, fiduciary and financial planning matters. 
 

1. Researches prospects through CauseIQ, GuideStar and Money Market Directory. Prepares materials (i.e. letters, agreements, marketing updates) for prospect, COI or client meetings and presentations.

2. Compiles reports for prospects, COI or client meetings and presentations.

3. Makes necessary arrangements for prospect, COI or client meetings involving travel, audio-visual aides, seminar/lunch/dinner reservations, meetings, seminars, etc. 

4. Performs special projects (i.e. coordinating reports, preparing account analysis and workflow reports) that require responding to specific account inquiries and issues. 

5. Work with prospect database to implement proactive DRIP campaign to convert leads into prospects. Set up files on new business prospects.

6. Works with Wealth Strategists to maintain active prospect files and reminders to initiate calls for making forward progress.

7. Communicates with partner areas on all aspects of a prospect/client relationship and initiates activity which fulfills a partner’s or client’s needs. 

8. Responds to individual prospects/clients’ inquiries and respond through written correspondence or via telephone.

9. Develop in-depth knowledge of a full range of services (e.g. philanthropic advice, planned giving, banking, management of specialty assets, impact investing, ESG, custody, etc.). Attend meetings and classes to keep abreast of financial planning products and services

10. Assist National Director of Marketing with national conferences and webinars, internal and external communications, and marketing collateral review and creation. 

11. Keep the region and local offices informed of FIA’s marketing initiatives. 

12. Plan and execute regional events, sponsorships and webinars.
 

Qualifications

Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
Strong computer skills -PowerPoint, Word, Excel
1-3 years of sales, investment or relationship management experience 
Basic knowledge of personal financial planning, and investment products and services are required to perform primary duties.
Organizational and personal computer skills are necessary to prepare materials for prospect and COI meetings and presentations.
Knowledge of fiduciary products and services, including fee structures, documentation, policies and procedures usually acquired through work-related instruction or work experience is required to respond to account related matters and various sales situations.
Analytical, organizational and sales skills are required to proactively manage the sales process. Interactive skills are required to understand prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions.
