Senior Associate, GCO Finance Global Functions and Innovative Pipeline

Lets do this! Lets change the world! In this vital finance role, you will act as a Senior Associate for the GCO Finance Global Functions and Innovative Pipeline teams. You will support and influence decision making for the pipeline portfolio, our early-stage programs that have the chance to impact millions of patients worldwide
This is a dynamic and engaged team that partners with executive leadership in the commercial organization and within finance at the global and regional levels. It is highly visible with the opportunity to expand and develop your FP&A skills including forecasting, modeling, valuation support, P&L management, and planning. Come grow with us!
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide financial, analytical, budget, and month-end support to the Global Marketing Access and Capabilities (GMAC) organization and interact cross-functionally within and outside of Finance.
- Financial planning and analysis of headcount and operating expenses, supporting the financial forecast, annual budgeting, long-range plan, and quarterly close processes
- Assisting the planning and analysis of the pipeline portfolio and providing financial support for valuations
- Supporting the pipeline revenue long-range planning process
- Developing executive-level communications and gathering and analyzing data for decision-making support
- Working cross-functionally across several stakeholder groups
- Performing ad hoc financial analysis and supporting special projects as needed
Basic Qualifications
- Masters degree in a related field, OR
- Bachelors degree and 2+ years of finance/accounting experience, OR
- Associates degree and 6+ years of finance/accounting experience, OR
- High school diploma / GED and 8 years of finance/accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of corporate-level and dynamic finance and/or accounting experience
- Financial education is strongly preferred, MBA/CPA is a plus but not required
- Relevant functional financial planning experience
- Knowledge of key finance systems (such as SAP, MS Office, Hyperion planning and reporting systems)
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Diligent with strong business acumen, and dynamic quantitative/analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and team environment
- Proficient in handling multiple projects concurrently under time
- Outstanding written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Team orientation with solid interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and level
Location for this position may be located at an Amgen hub location, hybrid, and/or remote locations in the US
