Senior Accounting Manager

Location: STAPLES Center Los Angeles, CA Overview Levy is a restaurant company providing premium-quality food services to major entertainment and sports venues. Levy at the Staple Center is currently looking for a dynamitic and skilled Accounting Manager reporting to the Controller. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting activities while building credibility with internal departments, maintaining internal controls, and meeting strict deadlines. The Accounting Manager will potentially be responsible for: *Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. *Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of revenues and expenses. *Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures for QRE audits. *Compile and analyze financial information and document business transactions. *A/R invoicing for services performed and maintaining accurate account receivable aging reports. Perform preliminary A/R collection efforts on past due accounts and apply ACH and other payments to clear the account. *Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process, with attention to detail and accuracy. *Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis for senior management including business forecasting. *Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget process including detailed review of departmental budget submissions. *Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis for senior management including business forecasting. *Build solid working relationships with business and department leaders. *Perform other duties as assigned by management. Essential skills and Qualifications: * Possess strong working experience with Word and Excel. Must have the ability to prepare detailed Excel spreadsheets using formulas. *Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills. Successful candidate needs the ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. *Communicates in detail both written and orally in a professional manner and exhibits a sense of urgency with the departments deliverables. *Stamina to work 60 hours or more per week. *Must be flexible with schedule, able to work different shifts. *Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college. *Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in business administration/management, accounting or finance.
