A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit. Responsibilities Assist with Month and Year End closings, adhering to all applicable timelines Support finance team regarding P&Ls, budgets, financial forecasts, etc. Responsible for training and development of accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general cashier functions and roles Reconcile cash accounts daily, including daily deposits, funding requests, and capital items Reconciliation of balance sheets Assist with reconciliation of all relevant City, County, and State taxes for property Assist with the biannual audit Actively participate in the management of the PO and procurement process, adhering to company policies and procedures Lead payroll reporting and journaling, supporting payroll manager Attend and engage in departmental and administrative meetings as needed Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos and verbal instructions Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements Help to establish policies and procedures related to accounting functions, cash control, meeting deadlines, etcetera. and ensure compliance thereof Take ownership of all guest matters, concerns, and inquiries brought to your attention and resolve in a timely manner Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel Core Competencies Three (3) years related experience in hospitality, with at least one (1) year in a hospitality finance management role required Excellent communication skills Collaborative spirit Ethical Conduct Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS Positive Attitude Eye for Detail Problem solver Critical and objective thinker Self-confident and proactive Compensation & Benefits We offer competitive wages and benefits while fostering a diverse and inclusive work experience.
