Senior Accountant Multi-Family Developer

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a multi-family real estate investment firm in West Los Angeles looking for a Sr. Accountant to join their growing team. The group specializes in multi-family ground up development which is funded by private/public investors. This role will be quintessential to the business and ultimately have long term growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Must be familiar accounts payable, invoice entry, and payments via echeck, wire, and ACH
  • Reconciliation – Bank Accounts, Credit Card Transactions, and G/L Accounts
  • Monthly expense and revenue accruals
  • Month End Close – Assist in completion of monthly financials
  • Working with our ERP system to performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statement
  • Update the monthly internal reporting package for key metrics used by the business.
  • Support special “one-off” projects on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Support the requests made by tax and financial auditors
  • Analyze financial reports, balance sheet and cash flow statements
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
  • Must have intermediate to advanced excel skills – ability to format, design and use excel spreadsheets. Pivot tables a plus

Requirements:

  • Real Estate experience in a multi-family or other related Real Estate industry
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats in an entrepreneurial business setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
  • Must have positive attitude, compatible personality, and work cooperatively with other team members
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA is a plus
  • Yardi is a bonus

Preferred:

4-year college degree

3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a public, private or start-up company.

1-2 years of GL Accounting Experience with knowledge in preparing journal entries and performing month-end procedures.

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

Experience in operating systems including Microsoft Dynamics

A proactive person who can multitask, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

A detail-oriented individual who has a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and

Experience working for a startup or small company a plus

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 + 15% bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
