You will work across functional departments supporting analytics for E-commerce, Operations and Marketing.
You will drive month end closing, assist with AP/AR processes, manage system processes and provide guidance to department managers regarding monthly budgetary information.

nn Collaborate with AP ensuring expenses are properly coded, overseeing recommended payment reports, subledger reconciliation Collaborate with AR preparing AR aging reports, subledger reconciliation Assist Controller with weekly cash forecast Circulate and manage month end close calendar Reconcile/record revenue transactions (sales, deferrals, gift cards, loyalty points, accruals, sales returns, discounts) Accruals oversight including overseeing proper period recognition of expenses, ensuring accruals are properly coded and reversed Record monthly journal entries and perform account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Produce month end schedules which may include: Fixed assets, prepaid expenses, deposits, accruals and liability accounts ensuring proper coding and recording monthly amortizing or depreciation.
Help implement accounting procedures to support best practices Assist Controller in reviewing monthly financials for proper recognition and presentation, drafting of financials, preparing departmental reviews.
Oversee data transfer activity through various system integrations (Quick books, Fishbowl/Inventory, Shopify).
Compliance oversight communicating across departments for system best practices Year end 1099 oversight, including final approval before submission Prepare year end schedules for income tax prep and annual review by outside accounting firm Assist Controller with oversight of sales and use tax reporting & returns, Business License, Sellers Permit, Business Property, and Sales & Use tax Regular analytic support for internal departments (e.g.
Sales mix of business, subscription reporting etc.) Ad-hoc analysis and ROI analysis as needed nn Required skills and qualifications nn Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required 4+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Strong work-ethic and communication skills Excellent follow through and time management skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Maintain high attention to detail and strict deadlines Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
