Senior Accountant – Fully Remote

Job Description
Alliance Resource Group is in search of a dynamic Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing educational technology firm in Los Angeles. This company specializes in a unique educational product that helps individuals prepare for the most difficult educational exams. As a growing company we are looking for someone interested in remote work with a meeting in the office 1-2 times per month. We are also looking for someone who can be promoted to accounting manager in a few years.
Job Duties:
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for complex accounting areas such as deferred revenue, income taxes, leases, etc.
- Review bank and credit card reconciliations and prepaid and fixed asset rollforward schedules prepared by Staff Accountant.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards & maintain responsibility of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting.
- Assist with annual external audit and various tax compliance and related filings.
- Responsible for supporting ERP system implementation and working with appropriate parties involved in this process.
- Perform technical accounting research.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’ s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2-8 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience working in a start-up or high growth company environment.
- Strong experience in QuickBooks
- CPA license – required
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Self-starter who is able to work independently and drive forward processes in a fast-paced environment,
Compensation goes up to $110k + plus bonus + equity
