SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Director

Beacon Resources seeks a highly motivated SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Director to join a breakout healthcare company with one of the brightest teams in the LA region.

Job – The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Director will perform technical accounting research on promulgated and proposed accounting standards and to ensure compliance with all SEC regulations, including filing all required SEC Reports.

The hired SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Director will report to a Controller.

Compensation/Benefits – Salary range starts at $170,000/year and increases depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus to supplement your base compensation.

SEC REPORTING AND TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR DUTIES SEC Reporting Prepare all reports (Quarterly, Annual) as per SEC requirements (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, and Annual Report) Prepare all other SEC filings such as registrations statements and DEF 14A.

Maintain all necessary deadlines in accordance with the SEC Maintain consistent contact with external auditors to ensure compliance with SEC standards Draft financial reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements Technical Accounting Draft technical accounting memos Implement corporate policies to reflect latest changes in accounting standards Keep abreast of latest changes to the accounting standards Train finance and accounting staff in new FASB and SEC guidelines Miscellaneous Accept any other duties assigned SEC REPORTING AND TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelors in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus CPA Prior employment of at least three (3) years at a Big 4 or other nationally renowned accounting firm Experience in working at or auditing publicly traded companies Superb knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations SEC REPORTING AND TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING DIRECTOR SKILLS Required Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity Expert-Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas) Preferred Technical MS Dynamics SaaS accounting experience For further information, submit your resume in MS Word format.
