SEC Accountant – Onsite

Overview Our Client, a leader in the financial investment management industry, has an immediate need for a SEC Accountant.

The position is located in Pittsburgh, PA and is currently working a hybrid work schedule.

This is a full time permanent position.

Ideal candidates must have 2 years of public accounting experience or a combination of 2 years of external reporting experience at a publicly held company and experience in a public accounting firm.

Responsibilities This position is responsible for coordinating and preparing quarterly, annual, and current reports with the SEC and assisting with technical accounting research.

Coordinate/Prepare 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K reports with the SEC Work with internal departments to prepare data for 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K reports & review XBRL Use on-line research tools and publications by the FASB, SEC, AICPA, etc.

to assist with accounting research, acquisitions, mergers, financings, etc.

Monitor the development of emerging accounting & reporting rules Qualifications Required Skills: 2 years of public accounting experience or 2 years of combined public accounting experience and external reporting experience at a publicly held company Experience working with SEC report filings Familiarity with XBRL Experience working with in the financial services industry Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; active CPA preferred
