Relationship Banker – Los Angeles, CA

California Bank and Trust, a leader amongst banks in California, with over $10 billion in assets and nearly 100 branch offices in the state, is looking for a Commercial Relationship Banker based out of our Los Angeles CA Office.

    This role focuses on identifying and developing lending, depository, and treasury management opportunities that align with the bank’s culture, and engages in a wide range of business activity, specializing in both consumer and commercial business. Candidates should have strong interpersonal communication skills with a background in business development, understanding financial statements, cash flow and aligning a financial profile with appropriate products, services, and structures.

Job Requirements: 

  • Responsible for acquiring, analyzing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Provides suitable credit, deposit or other banking services as well as counsel and advice to best meet clients’ needs.
  • Analyzes risks and profitability of assigned client base to ensure ongoing profitability and conformity with credit terms.
  • Solicits the sale of additional products and services to meet clients’ needs.
  • Develops and implements marketing plans for expanding business.
  • Negotiates loan terms and conditions.
  • Remains well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations relating to assigned clients.
  • May be assigned specialized industry or market segments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in business, finance or a related field and 6+ years commercial lending, loan management and bank sales experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. loan management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of bank products, credit, commercial lending and loan management techniques.
  • Ability to expand loans, client relationships and bank products.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed to create relationships with loan clients.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline.
