The Company

Founded by Gidi Cohen in 2006, CGI+ is a Real Estate investment and development firm with regional offices in Atlanta and New York.

The firm’s primary strategy includes both value-add investments and ground-up development, largely in the apartment business.

The firm’s current portfolio includes multifamily, extended stay corporate housing and hospitality properties, and retail assets located in California, New York, and key cities in the Southeastern and Southwestern U.S., particularly in underserved secondary and tertiary markets.

The company has also been a developer of custom, high-end single-family homes.

The Position

The Family Office Accountant and Executive Assistant (EA) will be responsible for handling all personal accounting and carrying out the day-to-day personal tasks for the CEO and his home.

The role entails an excellent working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and well-rounded accounting experience in real estate; The Accountant and EA must be highly organized, reliable, professional, and act with sound judgment.

Extreme attention to detail is a MUST.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounting (70%)
Manage miscellaneous personal accounts (i.e.

insurances, property maintenance, mortgages, etc.

as needed) Maintenance of the general ledgers by ensuring proper and timely entering and recording of financial transactions and events in the general ledger in accordance with Company policies.

Preparation and initial review of financial statements which includes but not limited to the balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements.

Assist with Financial Planning and Analysis as needed, together with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Perform Variance and Risk Analysis as needed Accomplish the month-end close processes by performing activities that are not limited to preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries Responsible for the review of journal entries prior to recording and adjustments Assist with ongoing account reconciliation and specific projects by reviewing and researching assigned accounts.

Ensure that general ledger accounts are resolved and reconciled on a timely basis.

This may entail the review of account reconciliations with management and supervisors Perform other duties or assist with ad hoc projects and reports as requested Process, prepare, and record payables and receivables.

Check writing and processing

Executive Assistance (30%)
Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the CEO’s behalf Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records Organizing meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner Managing the CEO’s calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters Be available to communicate after hours with CEO when traveling Perform other duties as reasonably requested by the CEO

Candidate Qualifications and Experience:​​​​
A minimum of three (3) years of experience with real estate and property accounting is required .

A minimum of three (3) years of executive assistant experience is preferred.

High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Receptionist will be a plus.

Concise communicator, proven problem solver, attention to detail Demonstrated ability to prioritize conflicting needs while handling matters expeditiously, proactively, and following through on projects to successful completion.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Extensive QuickBooks experience.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have created or used charts, spreadsheets, and databases.

Strong commitment and work ethic.
