Property Accounting Manager – Commercial Portfolio

This individual will play a key role in the organization and be responsible, oversee and manage all accounting functions of the firm including cash management, internal control, operating budget, review of monthly and yearly financial reporting, assist and manage annual audits. This position will be based in their Canoga Park office . The candidate will have direct exposure to firms executives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Ideal Candidate

Oversee and manage all accounting matters including but not limited to the following:

1. Establish and maintain internal control policies relating to accounting matters.

2. Review and maintain supporting schedules for property balance sheets.

3. Create and maintain procedures for monitoring property cash management.

4. Process payments (check/wire/ACH/electronic) for all vendors

5. Monthly bank reconciliations.

6. Monthly financial reporting for multiple properties

7. Ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions and reporting.

8. Review closing statements and prepare opening entries for new acquisitions.

9. Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits

10. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax authorities

Professional Requirements

1. Applicant MUST be a detail-oriented person with excellent analytical skills and
proficient in Excel.

2. Independent, self-starter mentality, with strong communication and organizational skills.

3. Eager to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

4. Team player.

5. Ability to multi-task several projects across multiple properties.
Education and Experience

6. Minimum 5 years of experience in property management accounting.

7. Bachelor’ s degree in accounting, business, or finance is preferred.

8. Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
