What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a full-time Payroll and Finance Operations Associate with knowledge of payroll processes, systems, practices, and compliance.
This role will report to the Accounting Manager and be the go-to point of contact for all Cloud9 payroll-related questions and certain finance operations.
The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and understands CA payroll laws.
Additionally, this will be an opportunity to develop with a high-growth company.
The ideal candidate will be eager to take on new responsibilities, build out process improvements, and jump at new problems to solve.
This role will be remote within the US.
What You’ll Do:
Research, respond, and resolve payroll issues and follow up as necessary
Process timesheets and ensure all information is correct
Preliminary audit of payment to contractors
Enter good behaviors bonuses
Track potential bonuses owed to personnel and players
Help with contract adjustments
Process employee verification requests
Support the design of streamlined payroll processes
Onboard new vendors
Process all accounts payable
Track prizing payouts for players
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or in a related field
At least 1-2 years of payroll experience
Knowledgeable of payroll processes, systems and practices
Understanding of CA payroll laws
Intermediate Excel skills
JustWorks experience a plus
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail
