Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments.The Role:The Payroll Accountant position for Feature Film and Series Animation will be based in our Burbank Office and be a key strategic partner with the Production Accountant and Assistant Accountant in the execution of the production plans and show budgets that represent the creative vision of the film makers.
They will be instrumental in maintaining accurate payroll accounting records and adhering to accepted procedures for all production payroll operations / payments.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to: base pay, payroll taxes, union pension, health & welfare contributions, statutory and guild requirements for crew and voice talent, domestic & internationalExecute payroll setup processes for new shows and handling of voiceover payrolls in coordination with production teams and casting departmentResponsible for onboarding all union cast and crew through outside payroll service providersMaintain fringe rates and tables with outside payroll companies, and ensure they accurately reflect benefit costs associated with animation crew Reconcile payroll data as needed between outside payroll systems and internal accounting systemsCommunicate between production, vendors, employees, corporate payroll, content accounting and unionsSupport Production Accountant as needed to maintain the accuracy of each production’s labor costs Investigate and resolve open issues with payroll in a timely processInterface with production crew to answer questions and problem solve payroll issues in a timely and constructive mannerAid in Production Audits throughout the life of the productionQualifications and ExperienceProduction payroll and accounting experience requiredUnion / Guild experience desired; experience with IATSE (839, 700) SAG and WGA a plusKnowledge of standard Accounting and Financial practicesKnowledge of CG and 2D Animation filmmaking processes a plusKnowledge of accounting, production finance and spreadsheet applications required; knowledge of Google suite products a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skills”,”url”:”https://jobs.netflix.com/jobs/25556841″,”search_text”:”Los Angeles, California Corporate Functions Financial Planning and Analysis Payroll Accountant
