he Wells Fargo & Company Legal Department seeks a paralegal for the Small Business Banking section in the Consumer & Small Business Banking division. This position will support Small Business Banking’s workout and collection litigation activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting internal counsel with the engagement and monitoring of bankruptcy, workout and other collection litigation matters handled by external counsel.
  • Working closely with the line of business to assist with specific bankruptcy, workout and other collection matters handled internally, including proofs of claim and other filings in both federal and state venues.
  • Assisting internal counsel with evaluating and analyzing credit file and loan documentation to assist with pre litigation consulting work to assess liability or risk prevention issues.
  • Conduct legal research as needed to evaluate changes in applicable law, rules and regulations.
  • Conduct docket and other research regarding active bankruptcy and litigation matters.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of paralegal experience demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 3+ years of focused practice in a concentrated area of law demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Legal project management experience
  • Civil litigation background
  • Bankruptcy experience
  • Proficient with Passport, EDOCS, ECAR, Ebilling, PACER systems

Job Expectations

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states
