Job Overview: As an Outsourced Client Controller, you will provide expert advisory services to clients in the private education sector. You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for our clients, nurturing relationships and offering guidance on financial matters. Your responsibilities will include overseeing client accounting teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing technical accounting assistance in accordance with GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide general advisory services to private education clients, offering insights on financial statement interpretation and usage. Act as a direct liaison for private education and nonprofit client engagements. Collaborate with client CFOs/Finance Directors to maintain and strengthen relationships. Research and share best practices in processes, internal controls, and business concerns. Supervise client accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables. Review and finalize accounting period closes, maintaining financial reporting accuracy. Coordinate with auditors to complete audit requests and year-end close activities. Offer technical accounting assistance based on GAAP and Uniform Guidance standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred. Previous public accounting experience required. Extensive experience providing advisory services to private education clients. Proficiency in full-cycle accounting, including financial statement preparation. Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships and work effectively within teams. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience. Federal grant program experience, including grant funding, preferred. Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge, Tuition Management, and Raiser Edge software is a plus.
