What we are looking for
– Our growing Expense Management (EM) team is part of our Exclusive Family Office group and specializes in helping our high net worth clients with their bill payment, accounting, cash flow, banking and other financial matters.
We are looking for a motivated, career-oriented and experienced manager / CPA to join and head our team.
You will
– * Manage a department that includes off-site back office and in house accounting operations* Manage department and client engagement profitability* Clean up and review of client monthly general ledgers and financial statements* Clean up and final review of client cash flow reports* Ensure financial reports are completed timely and accurately* Manage the A/P software and processes to ensure all bills are paid timely by the Senior Associates* Ensure accounting standards are followed* Interact between tax and investment operations to correctly record transaction on the books* Train and oversee the team of Senior Associates* Review and approve all journal entries* Review monthly bank reconciliations for all clients* Maintain key contact relationships with banking, payroll and back office vendors* Facilitate and assist Senior Associates in vendor disputes* Develop and implement department policies and procedures* Understand and manage department work flow* Coordinate and facilitate new client on-boarding process* Manage business aspects of department such as department budget, evaluating vendors, vendor pricing, etc.* Ensure Expense Management is in compliance with firm-wide and SEC requirements* Ensure all products and services are delivered accurately, timely, and efficiently* Manage all internal and external audits and compliance reports * Interact and team with other departments (Wealth Management/Tax Services/Investment Operations) as needed to complete your work and be a proactive participant in EFO success We want
– * CPA
– Required* 7-10 years’ experience as a Controller or Senior Manager Accounting* Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field* Tax experience preferred to understand the relationship between accounting and tax* Professional experience as a controller or auditor as a manager* Management of production and growth of teams* Maintaining a profitable and growing department* High Proficiency in Word, advanced Excel, and other data management software is essential, including knowledge of accounting systems such as Datafaction, QuickBooks, etc., experience is required.* Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy* Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality* Excellent organizational skills* A self-starter who is accountable for his/her work* Must be a team player who will thrive in a small company environment* Ability to consistently meet deadlines* Ability to set priorities among a variety of tasks and heavy volume of work* Excellent oral and written communication skills within a diverse office environment* Excellent personal and professional references We offer – * Collaborative fun environment* 401(k) with company match* Individual and cash profit sharing bonuses* Competitive company contribution to medical benefits* Summer ‘Give Back to the Community’ outings* Flexible work arrangements* Continuing education assistance program We are – ASPIRIANT IS A LEADING INDEPENDENT WEALTH MANAGEMENT FIRM.
