OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary: The Manager, Business and Finance for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is responsible for the overall financial operations of the Department including its three divisions and new ventures. Responsibilities include leading the development of annual capital and operating budgets, tracking budget performance, developing and reconciling budget variances, developing forecasts and creating business analytics and other ad hoc analyses for the Hospital and Medical Group. The individual in this position will be creative, proactive, and be able to construct analyses that support strategic planning, business development activities, and decision-making within the Department. The individual in this position collaborates with all Departmental leaders and supervises a Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, planning, project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate in an effective and compelling manner at different levels internal and external to the organization.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Five years of progressively responsible accounting/ financial management experience. Expert analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Microsoft PowerPoint skills desired.Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred.
