Ledgent Finance & Accounting: Accounting Manager (Restaurant)

Accounting ManagerOVERALL OBJECTIVES:Within a fast pace and growing HOSPITALITY environment, the Accounting Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations, and is accountable for accurate and timely execution of all accounting tasks on an accrual basis (GL, AP, bank reconciliation, Month end and Year End Closing, etc.).

This person must be autonomous and able to make sound decisions.

Our expectations are that they will work closely with the team members, and vendors in various capacities, and assist however needed.

The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, problem solve, be flexible and adaptable to differing situations.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:In charge of overseeing a large number of restaurants’ accounting responsibilities.This includes:Analyzing and preparing all journal entries for posting, and post as neededCoordinate budget preparation and monthly forecast reportsManage AP and prepare weekly check runPerforming account reconciliations for the monthly and year end closing processWorking with purchasing to ensure timely and accurate inventory executionSupervise and review bank account reconciliations and inter-company transactionsRecord the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets, track existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and account for the disposition of fixed assetsOrganize and maintain financial records.Perform all accounting tasks in accordance with the company policy, statutory reporting requirements and GAAP.Resolve accounting issues identified and liaise with operations and corporate, as applicable.Skill & Knowledge Requirements Include:Must have at least 4 years of corporate accounting experienceRestaurant experience preferredExperience with Great Plains, MAS 90, or similar accounting softwareMust be highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and autonomousBS/BA in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA highly preferredExperience with account reconciliations requiredExperience with booking journal entries requiredExperience with accrual bookkeepingStrong analytical and communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of Excel requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 per yearExperience:Restaurant Accounting: 5 years (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Location:Los Angeles, CA (Required)License:CA (Required)
