Accountemps in San Pedro, California has an immediate need for an entry level Staff Accountant for at an emerging local company! In this role, you will be responsible for accounts payable/receivable processing, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. As a Staff Accountant, you will be joining a dynamic team and be offered excellent career growth. Your responsibilities:
-Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
-Put together monthly journal entries
-Researching and correcting account discrepancies
-Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
-Helping with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
-Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
Job Requirements:
-Education required is an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
-At least 6 months of relevant accounting experience (work or internship)
-General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
-Dependable
-Quick Learner
-Tech savy, easily trained on new software
-Be detailed, flexible, and organized
-Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
-Strong communication and social skills
