Investment Fund Senior Tax AssociateLos Angeles,CATaxJob DescriptionReq ID: req19201Investment Fund Senior Tax Associate Summary:As a Tax Senior Associate you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts; your technical & quality expertise, and delivering excellent service to our Private Equity clients:Preparing complex Tax returnsDevelop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team membersDetailed review and analysis of Tax returnsInteract directly with clients handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issuesRemain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax lawOther duties as assigned Some travel may be required Basic Qualifications:BA/BS Degree
– preferably in Accounting or related field of studyMust be eligible to sit for the CPA exam -or a licensed JDMinimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting environment with exposure to Private Equity clients Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirementsExperience preparing and reviewing returnsEffective verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Masters of AccountingCPA, JD, LLM, or EAExperience with a national or large regional accounting firmWorking knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and complianceStrong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, review experience a plus Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plusYou want your next step to be the right one.
