Job Purpose: Lead, manage, and direct the operations, sales and compliance functions of the bank’s retail banking, operations and customer support areas.
Is responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure board directives and regulatory requirements are met.
Essential Duties:
· Responsible for managing all aspects of retail banking, operations and customer support areas including operational compliance, sales and service.
· Develop, direct and monitor retail banking, operations and customer support strategies/tactics for the Bank.
· Utilize strong bank operational knowledge to ensure policies and procedures are in place in order to improve bank operating efficiency and profitability.
· Recommends and implements business plans, incentive plans, operational procedures and system utilization that support the bank’s long-term strategic objectives and vision.
· Evaluates current retail banking products and services for opportunities to improve, change or create new ones.
· Responsible for staff development including promotions, salary recommendations and performance reviews/plans of Branch Managers and the Retail Administration Manager.
· Conduct staff meetings, product training, resolve problems, assume responsibility for seeking solutions, maintain effective communication and keep executive management advised of all current and potential problems and/or initiatives.
· Execute a strategy to exceed growth goals in terms of deposit and loan growth.
· Develop and achieve annual goals and objectives by coaching, monitoring and developing the Branch Managers.
· Ensure compliance with applicable bank regulations through periodic training of staff and compliance reviews.
· Adhere to customer confidentiality and information security programs for the retail banking functions.
· Develop retail banking marketing plan with the bank’s marketing consultant.
· Serve as a member of the bank’s internal Management, Pricing, Marketing and IT Steering Committees.
· Actively participate in community events.
· Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Education/Certification Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
· Minimum seven (7) years financial services experience, with five (5) in retail banking experience.
· Minimum five (5) years supervisory or management experience.
· Solid understanding of retail banking operations and compliance.
· Call center experience a plus.
· Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
