This individual will be tasked with ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of our financial reporting deliverables, including assist in crafting complex accounting memos in support of accounting positions taken, implementing internal controls to safeguard the company, and driving process improvements to establish a more efficient work environment.

A key function of this role will be to support the preparation and distribution of financial statements for external use, including periodic reports filed with the SEC on Form 10-Q and 10-K and ensuring financial statements are in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.

This individual will play a crucial role in building a strong financial foundation for a rapidly growing company with a great mission.

This individual will report to the Technical Accounting Manager and will collaborate with other members of the accounting and finance teams and other business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a knack for rolling up their sleeves and jumping into the financial weeds while also acting as a self-directed, assured leader who can own their role with minimal oversight.

This is a key role within our organization and provides a great opportunity for professional growth.Responsibilities:Prepare disclosures and underlying support for quarterly and annual financial filings with the SEC, earnings releases, investor supplemental reports, proxy statements, and other external financial reporting, including complete tie-out procedures to ensure completeness and accuracy of reported informationPrepare quarterly and annual GAAP and SEC disclosure checklistsAssist with preparing the form and content of periodic SEC reports, including Form 10-Qs and Form 10-KsPerform financial reporting, technical accounting and implementation research; assist in the preparation of accounting position white papers within a broad range of topics, including leases, business combinations, stock-based compensation, revenue, new accounting pronouncements and SEC financial reporting updatesMaintain internal controls and assist in the documentation and evaluation of financial and business processes in support of the company’s SOX compliance requirements, including coordinating with internal and external auditors on the annual audit of internal control over financial reportingCollaborate with senior management to research, resolve and communicate findings on accounting and financial reporting related questions regarding business transactions and other non-routine mattersProvide accounting support to various business partners across the organizationParticipate in other projects and ad hoc analyses and reports as requiredSkills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required2+ years of ” Big Four” public accounting experience required; 1-2 years of industry public company financial reporting experience is a plusCPA license is preferredExperience with ASC 606 (Revenue), ASC 718 (Stock Compensation), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 842 (Leases) is a plusExcellent Excel and analytical skills, including VLookUps, Pivot Tables, etc.
