Financial Controller

National manufacturing and environmental services company located in south Los Angeles is looking for a Controller to oversee one of their divisions.  In this predominantly hands-on role, the Controller will oversee a Staff Accountant.  Main responsibilities for the Controller include ensuring efficient accounting processes, managing month/quarter/year-end closes, assisting with financial reporting, statement consolidations, general ledger management, reconciliations, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and tax filings.  Additional duties include assisting with preparing the fiscal budget, working with external and internal auditors, reviewing inventory, analyzing revenue and operating cost savings, as well as being a key systems liaison for end-users.  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience with at least two years in a management or Controller capacity.
  • Manufacturing or environmental industry experience is extremely preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Must be systems savvy.
