Bank of America is in a period of amazing evolution and growth in the design of our Financial Centers.  Having recently launched a new Retail prototype, we are looking for a talented Financial Center Design Leader with a background in retail or hospitality design to lead a large volume of interior renovations. This individual will ensure the design of each Financial Center is individually considered so that we provide our clients and associates with the best possible experience, carefully guarding our brand expression in the physical space while keeping the project on budget and delivering within timeline commitments.

The Financial Center Design Leader must: be a curious and empathetic leader who will take the time to understand the unique challenges of Financial Center design and be able to balance good design with timeline and budget; knowing when to move work forward and when to pause. Have strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills to move projects forward. Strong intellectual capital paired with equally strong emotional intelligence and a desire to roll up his or her sleeves to get the job done. Experience working in large, complex organizations and has the ability to drive results through influence, persuasion and relationships with exceptional ability to collaborate with key stakeholders. Ability to quickly provide design direction with a high level of initiative and a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Able to quickly assess new situations and add immediate value.

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Build a strong relationship with our architectural partners
  • Ensure that design work and construction drawings maintain a high level of quality
  • Ensure projects stay on time and on budget with appropriate design documentation that enables the project management teams to move efficiently through construction.
  • Assess opportunities to improve processes to ensure the work remains efficient and high quality

Required Skills

  • 10+ years retail or hospitality design experience

Desired Skills:

  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Strong written, oral, and drawing/diagrammatic communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of E2E retail design roll-out processes
  • Proficient in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office
  • 5 + years in leadership role for a Fortune 500 company
