Learn more: DutiesUnder general supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations, the Financial and Operations Lead Analyst plays a critical role in the financial analysis and resource management in the College of Humanities.

The incumbent supports the daily technical and administrative operations of the College, serving as a lead and key resource to department analysts.

•Works closely with the Director of Finance and Operations to develop College budget estimates and to recommend strategies to improve and/or maintain financial and operational efficiency.

•Performs variance analysis of actuals to budget, provides necessary financial adjustments and reporting.

•Oversees the daily monitoring, reconciling and control of the College operational spending in all funds including General Fund, State Trust, Extended Learning, Lottery, University Foundation and The University Corporation.

•Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
•Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible technical, analytical, or administrative experience.

•Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year for year basis.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
•Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty and working knowledge of operational analysis and techniques.

Thorough knowledge of fiscal analysis techniques, excellent critical thinking and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel, in particular (pivot tables, formatting, etc.).

Functional knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty.
•Ability and specialized skills to expertly investigate and analyze problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.

Demonstrated success in training others, providing lead work direction and assuming responsibility for outcomes.

Expertise in interpretation of data, investigating and analyzing problems
•Ability to: oversee and/or train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
•Demonstrate detailed knowledge of University policies, procedures and best practices, and utilize independent judgement and initiative to fulfill all job duties as well as recommend potential solutions to new challenges and issues as they arise.Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

•The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3897 -$5500, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The salary range for this classification is: $3897 -$7051 per month.

•HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
•REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
