Financial Analyst I (Temporary)

Job Summary The Financial Analyst I will ensure the daily management of the Cash Pro System to confirm and monitor the daily deposits representing refund recoveries.

This position will also ensure the Recovery Lock Boxes activity are reconciled to the provider refunds processed through the core systems MHC and QNXT.

This position will ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly activity reports, prepare Journal Entries, maintain General Ledger reconciliations and audit schedules.

This position will also be responsible for submitting the monthly reinsurance reports and submit from the insurance carrier timely requests for reimbursement.

They will track and monitor reimbursements, fulfill requests for information, prepare journal entries and provide information to the Shared Risk Senior Financial Analysts.

They will prepare Ad Hoc reporting upon requests, participate in the completion of all assigned special projects and recommend process improvements to build efficiencies.

Duties Ensure the daily management of the CASH Pro System to ensure the daily deposit are reconciled with the MHC/QNXT claims retractions by check run.

Ensure the Recovery Lock Box inbound reports are reconciled to deposits.

Prepare reinsurance carrier monthly reports and submissions for reimbursement.

Fulfill requests for supporting data.

Prepare monthly financial activity reports accurately and timely.

Prepare monthly journal entries to record transactions in General Ledger.

Prepare ad hoc reporting upon request.

Prepare and participate in the completion of all assigned special projects.

Recommend process improvements to build efficiencies.

Ensure all GL recons and audit schedules are accurate and timely.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Required Associate’s Degree In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.

Education Preferred Bachelor’s Degree Required Experience At least 0-2 years working in a Healthcare Finance setting.

Skills Required Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.

Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication (verbal and written) skills.
