Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for the accounting and financial duties required to support the needs of Critical Mass’s ever-growing Wander Studio.

Reporting directly to Wander’s Production Accountant,

You will:

  • Review, analyze, and manage project budgets
  • Liaise with the Production Accountant, Producers, and Operations on the status of production jobs
  • Provide analysis of project budgets to producers and other relevant parties
  • Review financial documentation and contracts for numerical accuracy with Producers
  • Forecast and report monthly revenue accruals to CM’s Finance Department
  • Manage vendor relations and accounts payable processes
  • Manage time tracking and billing systems
  • Work with and mentor other financial team members as required

You Have:

  • A degree with an accounting or finance major preferred
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong analytical skills and sound accounting knowledge
  • Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Leadership, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the big picture
  • Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced, flexible environment
  • A keen sense of urgency coupled with a “whatever-it-takes” attitude
  • Demonstrated technical and business aptitude
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Experience in overseeing finances pertaining to live action commercials, shoots, films, and the making of original content is an asset
