The Financial Analyst is responsible for the accounting and financial duties required to support the needs of Critical Mass’s ever-growing Wander Studio.
Reporting directly to Wander’s Production Accountant,
You will:
- Review, analyze, and manage project budgets
- Liaise with the Production Accountant, Producers, and Operations on the status of production jobs
- Provide analysis of project budgets to producers and other relevant parties
- Review financial documentation and contracts for numerical accuracy with Producers
- Forecast and report monthly revenue accruals to CM’s Finance Department
- Manage vendor relations and accounts payable processes
- Manage time tracking and billing systems
- Work with and mentor other financial team members as required
You Have:
- A degree with an accounting or finance major preferred
- 2-3 years of previous experience in finance or accounting
- Strong analytical skills and sound accounting knowledge
- Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Leadership, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills
- Impeccable attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the big picture
- Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced, flexible environment
- A keen sense of urgency coupled with a “whatever-it-takes” attitude
- Demonstrated technical and business aptitude
- Self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision
- Experience in overseeing finances pertaining to live action commercials, shoots, films, and the making of original content is an asset
