Financial Analyst

Company Our client is a growing investment, management and development firm that acquires and repurposes historic buildings in the Mid-Atlantic region to provide contemporary office space with an eye towards sustainable, urban renewal projects.

Location Raleigh-Durham, NC Role The Financial Analyst/Associate will work with the Asset Management, Development, Acquisitions and Capital Markets teams to provide analytical support across the companys development portfolio, including recently delivered, pre-development and developing assets across all product types.

This will include developing or updating project pro formas, feasibility and market studies, project funding, investor relations and support of various investment and development decisions.

This position reports to the Vice President of Asset Management and Development.

Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducts financial analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models.

Gathers, compiles, investigates, and analyzes market data to identify potential development opportunities, and prepares narrative development memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries that provide insights on proposed acquisitions.

Develops, maintains and updates individual project pro formas.

Assists with financial reporting, including partnership waterfalls.

Assists VP of Development with property-level operating budgets as needed.

Tracks leasing progress for projects in pipeline.

Conducts analyses of potential leasing opportunities.

Establishes and maintains productive relationships with local market brokers, institutional and equity partners, lenders, real estate owners, and other key stakeholders, and appropriately manages on-going communications related to proposed development transactions.

Develops lender/equity investor packages.

Coordinates with Development, Finance, Asset Management, and Accounting counterparts.

Supports analytic requests of Senior Management.

Qualifications Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

MBA a plus.

3-5 years of previous experience in real estate development, acquisitions or investment management.

Highly proficient understanding of real estate finance, including previous modeling of development projects and cash flow waterfalls.

Advanced MS Excel skills and Argus required.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to develop, comprehend, and complete business documents and to provide updates and reports to principals and key partners.

Strong organizational, time-management, problem solving and project management skills in order to effectively track, report, and manage multiple projects and priorities where meeting deadlines is critical.

Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic.

High degree of professionalism and self-confidence, with capability to interact well with internal and external clients.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00
