In this position, you will conduct financial modeling on various financial products as well as have responsibility for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans.
You will be charged with advising management on the allocation of resources to accomplish objectives in a timely manner and preparing reports for management.
As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management.
This Financial Analyst role is based in the Westport, Connecticut, area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity.

Major responsibilities
– Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
– Gather and oversee forecasting reports
– Inspect performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
– Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
– Flexible individual that feels comfortable operating under high expectations while dealing with a large amount of information
– Watch over annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
– Participate in planning with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
– Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
– Empower effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
– Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
– Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process Job Requirements:
– Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)
– Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
– Sound written and verbal communication skills
– Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system
– Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
– Experience with Financial Forecast
– Tableau experience required
– Budget forecasting experience
– Solid understanding of Excel VBA
– Financial reporting experience
– BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
– Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
