We are looking for a Finance Associate join our Financial Planning & Analysis team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a current student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the sports/entertainment industry.

As Finance Associate, you will work with your teammates to help support assorted financial functions like monthly P&L’s, budgeting, long-term planning and additional ad-hoc projects.

To be successful, you should an outstanding teammate with a team-first mentality, and be able to think on your feet and adjust to tight turnarounds while keeping a high standard of work.

In this role you will amplify your existing foundation of education and financial internships.

This is a part-time position.

Associate should be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.

While this position is not benefit eligible, we do pay for employee parking in our DTLA office.

What You Will Do
Assist the Director of FP&A with each monthly close.

Monthly close tasks include operating model updates, GL Expense Detail bucketing & associated entries Work closely with the team for all quarterly NBA league-wide financial submissions Analyze financial data and build financial models for decision-making support Track and analyze trends in order to provide optimization recommendations Prepare various accounting journal entries
Your Background, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field 1 or more years of related internship and/or work experience Excel proficiency is required; experience working with pivot tables, vlookups & queries Experience with general ledger software, Microsoft Great Plains is helpful Strong organizational and prioritization skills Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task within a fast-paced environment Demonstrated dedication with the ability to lead projects from origin through execution.

Ability to learn, contribute and thrive in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment.

Effective interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business.
